Sferanet has signed an agreement with which it undertakes to achieve the objectives
of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC). With the company is committed to
this agreement, the company is committed to adhering to the ten principles dictated by the
United Nations in the areas of human rights, social standards, the environment and the
fight against corruption. Joining the UNGC therefore underlines Sferanet’s long-term commitment
to sustainability and corporate social responsibility. It is considered “the largest strategic corporate
citizenship initiative in the world” and stems from the will of promoting a sustainable global economy.
It was first proposed in 1999 at the World Forum in Davos, by the then secretary United Nations Kofi Annan.
